Intel Ex-CEO Calls For 24 Hours Of Prayer & Fasting For Intel's 100k Employees
He's thinking of doing it this coming Thursday just FYI if you'd like to join in
In a surprise move, Intel’s now ex-CEO Pat Gelsinger took to X to invite us to join him in 24 hours of “praying and fasting” for Intel’s 100k employees to help them navigate “this difficult period”.
He’s also been busy on X, chiming in on the right way to measure process performance:
For good measure, he also took the time to welcome two new members to Intel’s BoD:
As you might expect, there was a mixed reaction to Mr. Gelsinger’s “praying and fasting” invitation. Representatives from leading drug companies, who declined to be identified because they were not authorised to speak on the matter, were quite annoyed by it, noting that if everybody started doing 24 hours fasts, it could impact sales of their GLP-based products.

It’s also a move without precedent. To the best of our knowledge, it’s never been tried before when attempting to restore the fortunes of a former technology giant. It’s definitely a long shot, but could it actually work? Let’s dig in….
